Muchacho Alegre

It's Cinco de Mayo today. So, I had to find a Mexican Restaurant since I'm not in Lynchburg today to go to my favorite. Muchacho Alegre is colorfully & nicely decorated. It is very clean here. The people here are kind, friendly & attentive. The food is delicious! I made the right choice. I'm in Lexington twice a week for now, so I'll be back!

Excellent food and prices!! I had one fish and one shrimp tacos with guacamole - holy cow, they were delicious! So good, I ate the whole thing! Nice atmosphere and our server Benjamin T was top notch! Looks like the back bar area is fun on the weekends with pool tables and big TVs.

This restaurant was great. I got vegetarian option #1. The red sauce for the burrito was particularly good. The service was kind and welcoming. The interior was very spacious and decorated in a subdued and calming way. To summarize: this is a great place to grab a meal. If we're ever in Lexington again, we'll be back.

Gloria was our server and she was absolutely fabulous! Definitely will be making the drive back to this restaurant just to sit with her. She honestly deserves a raise for her top notch service and all around pleasantly cheerful personality. Their drinks are also the best I’ve ever had. 10/10 recommend !

I travel A LOT and always love trying new Mexican restaurants. I had the Nacho Supreme and while most places only give you a choice between Chicken or Beef at Muchachos they give you both! Had a Pacifico beer that was the choice of my server Gloria. EXCELLENT choice! The food was awesome and so was the atmosphere. HIGHLY recommend

Thank God for tacos, the Blue Ridge Mtns, and Gloria! This place did not disappoint after a long day of travel. Pollo asado, al pastor, and steak street tacos were delish with authentic flavor. The carne asada burrito and refried beans were also fire. Ask for Gloria, our fabulous waitress who provided top-notch service. 10/10

This small family run Mexican restaurant is a gem! Every dish is prepared fresh and that quality shows in every bite! I’ve been here several times and each has been excellent. This time I was inspired to write a review because of the chunky guacamole (my wife’s favorite) and the Mocajete (my first time trying this amazing dish). The service is excellent and attentive; we would not have known the kitchen would prepare the guacamole “diced” rather than smooth if it weren’t for our server who informed us of this option. When you visit this authentic taste of Mexico (and you must when in Lexington) I highly recommend trying something new. You will be blown away!

I travel a lot, always find great Mexican places. This is one. I go to these places for the food, not for the decor, or how it looks from the outside. I found the best food and the nicest people in places that were not so polished. As always, I ask for stuff that’s not on the menu , if you can mix this and that, and put this sauce, instead of that sauce. No problem. Came out amazing. Really amazing. It was chicken breast with all the vegetables, Zucchini, tomatoes, peppers, onions, mushrooms grilled. Very grilled.. With Chipotle sauce on top. Dam that was good.
